剧情：
多年以前，当Ray Drecker（Thomas Jane扮演）读高中的时候，曾是个前途无限、惹人喜爱的运动健将。如今，他人到中年却依然一事无成。他在一家学校里担任高中教师和篮球教练，报酬微薄，地位低微，还没有保险。最让他寒心的是，在一起生活了20年的妻子（Anne Heche扮演）竟然舍他而去，跟她那位有洁癖的皮肤科医生结婚了。
