剧情：
弃儿狗剩（蒋龙 饰）自小被收养，为了赚钱娶媳妇替傻子兄弟王毛当兵。在从军过程中狗剩遭到同村情敌杨三（蒋易 饰）的设计陷害，又经历了许多光怪陆离、惊险刺激的遭遇，一路上结识了宋玉桃（史策 饰）等志同道合的朋友。经历战争的洗礼，狗剩深刻认识到没有国家就没有小家，由一个农民变成了真正的新四军战士，完成人生蜕变。
